I am open and respectful of my client and I hold a space for them where they will be heard and where they may explore any issues they bring, at a pace that is comfortable for them.
I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor and an MA Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist in the final year of training. My approach is Integrative which means that I draw on a range of therapeutic thinking and models such as Humanistic, Gestalt, Transpersonal, Attachment Based Therapy, Psychodynamic and other. In addition, my foundation was on Art Psychotherapy which gave me the ability to use tools such as Sandtray, Clay, Drawing, Music and other in my work, if that is something you would be interest to experiment with. The main part of my training has been Child and Adolescent orientated and it gave me the skills needed to work with children, adolescent and young adults. It also gave more depth to my work with adults.
While training to become a Counsellor, I have worked as a Volunteer Counsellor in various settings including a private counselling service, primary schools and a charity that supports vulnerable adolescent and young adults. I have worked with children, teenagers, parents, teachers and adults and I have experience working with various issues such as anxiety, depression, bullying, self-harm, domestic violence trauma and other. Since qualifying as a Counsellor, I continue volunteering as much as possible in local organisations while I am developing my private practice. I am register with both BACP and UKCP and I can work with you in English or Greek.
