Lizzy Du Verney

As a therapist I offer a warm, professional, empathic counselling relationship. I believe successful therapy is in the relationship between the client and the therapist where there is trust, openness, and the opportunity to explore your whole self in a space where you can feel safe unjudged and brave to talk. I offer therapy to adolescence and adults of all ages.

About Lizzy

Hello and welcome. As an experienced therapist my approach is Integrative; this means the therapy I provide is tailored to you, drawing on different types of therapy to meet your specific needs and expectations.

In the therapy sessions you and I will focus on your experiences in the here and now, how you relate to others, the world around you and how the impact this may have on you both negative and positive. We then together draw on past experiences and relationships and look at how your patterns of behaviour can be explored and adapted to help you feel more at ease.

Embarking on a therapeutic journey provides a space to think, to speak, to feel and to be heard. The therapeutic space I create provides you with autonomy and confidence to hear your words, experience your feelings and begin your own independent journey to a more fulfilled and emotionally resilient existence.

I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to their code of ethics.

My extensive experience includes working and volunteering with young people, adults of all ages, children, and families within local authorities across London and in the private sector. Working with clients in the home and in educational settings including higher education.

I hold an enhanced DBS certificate and a have solid commitment to continued professional development and research.
