There are times when anxiety, trauma, loss, relationship difficulties or longstanding emotional patterns can leave you feeling overwhelmed, disconnected or unsure how to move forward. Sometimes you may know what is troubling you; at other times, life may appear fine from the outside while something inside still feels unsettled.

I am an Accredited BACP Psychotherapist offering psychotherapy for adults and couples in Finchley, North London, and online therapy across the UK. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship and marriage difficulties, grief and bereavement, trauma and childhood experiences, Complex PTSD (CPTSD), ADHD/ADD, shame, low self-esteem, stress, burnout and difficulties around identity and belonging.

My therapeutic foundation is psychodynamic and I work relationally. In practice, this means paying attention to what is happening now and to how earlier experiences and relationships may have shaped the way you understand yourself, relate to others and respond emotionally. Therapy can help us notice recurring patterns, make sense of difficult experiences and create more choice in how you respond.

I have a particular specialism in trauma, including developmental, childhood and intergenerational trauma. Difficult experiences are not always the result of one major event. They can also emerge through repeated criticism, emotional neglect, unpredictable relationships, loss, abuse, having to become independent too early or learning to hide parts of yourself to feel accepted. These experiences can continue to influence trust, self-worth, relationships and emotional wellbeing.

I work with adults with ADHD/ADD, including those diagnosed later. Alongside difficulties with attention and organisation, therapy can explore overwhelm, rejection sensitivity, relationships, self-esteem and the emotional impact of feeling different or misunderstood.

Therapy with me is collaborative and conversational. I listen carefully, ask questions, notice patterns and, when helpful, offer perspectives that may allow us to see something differently. I do not expect you simply to speak while I remain distant or silent. The aim is to create a relationship in which you can think openly, understand yourself more deeply and make changes that feel meaningful.

My professional experience includes working as a psychotherapist within an NHS GP practice, serving as Project Lead at EACH Counselling and Psychotherapy Charity, and lecturing in Counselling and Psychotherapy within Kent and Medway NHS, where I trained future therapists. Before becoming a psychotherapist, I spent many years developing and leading pastoral services within schools and colleges.

I offer face-to-face psychotherapy at Finchley Therapy Practice in Finchley Central and work with clients across North London, including Barnet, Golders Green, Hampstead, Mill Hill, Muswell Hill and surrounding areas, as well as online across the UK.
